HONOLULU – The Hawai’i women’s cross country team will have one final tune-up before postseason action when it competes in the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Santa Clara Saturday in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The Rainbow Wahine will send 10 runners to compete in the 6k meet that gets underway at 6:30 a.m. HT at Baylands Regional Park.

The ‘Bows are coming off of a strong effort at the Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 5 in Salem, Ore. Emilie Kirk Langschwager and Lucy Milliner delivered a 1-2 finish, with Kirk Langschwager taking home the victory in 17:03.50, followed by Milliner in second with a time of 17:09.80. Kirk Langschwager moved into second all-time on the program 5k top 10 list while Milliner took over third.
Sariah Hernandez followed the UH top two by placing seventh with a time of 17:29.10 to move into seventh all-time at Hawai’i. The ‘Bows placed third overall in the event as a team.
The trio of Kirk Langschwager, Milliner and Hernandez have all finished in the top 30 of each of the first three meets, while all have posted program top-10 marks at both 5k and 6k. Kirk Langschwager has taken home a pair of wins and finished in the top 15 of all three meets while the freshman Milliner has posted top-10 finishes in each of her first three collegiate events.
Following this weekend’s action at the Bronco Invitational, the Rainbow Wahine will prepare for the Big West Championships, set for Nov. 2 in Riverside, Calif.
