(KRON) – A woman was fatally shot at a Motel 6 in Oakland, according to the Oakland Police Department.
The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at a Motel 6 in the 1800 block of Embarcadero, according to authorities.
Responding officers located a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
Around 2:45 p.m. on Friday, San Francisco Police Department officers arrested the suspect and transferred him into OPD custody.
