(KRON) — A San Jose woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly stabbing a man in a “domestic violence dispute,” according to the Mountain View Police Department.
Mountain View police responded at 2:51 p.m. to the 900 block of El Camino Real on the report of a man bleeding. Arriving officers located the man who had a stab wound to the hand, authorities said. The Mountain View Fire Department provided medical aid at the scene.
Investigators learned that a woman, identified as Shetaura Johnson, 39, of San Jose, went to the victim’s residence and confronted him, according to MVPD. Authorities said that Johnson knew the victim from a past relationship.
During the altercation, police said Johnson took out a pocketknife and attempted to stab the man. Johnson then allegedly tried to break into the residence after injuring the victim’s hand.
“The suspect fled in her vehicle prior to police arrival,” Mountain View PD said. “Later that evening, the San Jose Police Department located the suspect in her vehicle.”
Police said a firearm was located in Johnson’s vehicle.
Johnson was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting corporal injury on a domestic partner, residential burglary and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. An additional count of bringing unlawful contraband into a secured facility was added after police said methamphetamine was found on Johnson’s person during booking.
