Heavy snowfall continues to create dangerous conditions for northeast New Mexico today. The snowfall is expected to continue for the state through Friday.
The low pressure system causing the widespread snow and rain moved into New Mexico from southeast Arizona early this morning. This low pressure system will continue its track towards the northeast through the day today and Friday. The low should move out of New Mexico by Saturday afternoon.

This low pressure is bringing heavy snowfall to central New Mexico and up. The heaviest snowfall is in the northeast. Though Winter Storm Warnings are in place for most of the state through the 8th of November.
Roadways are continuing to be impacted through the day today. Sections of I-25 near Las Vegas and Raton have been closed to Northbound traffic. More roadway disruptions are occurring in the Albuquerque Metro and I-40 near Clines Corner. The snow and wind are causing low visibility and dangerous driving conditions.
Central New Mexico will see a break from the snow this afternoon and through the evening. The snow will return early Friday morning and last through the afternoon.
Northeast New Mexico will not be seeing a break from the snow until Saturday when the low pressure system moves on from New Mexico. Blizzard conditions are expected.
