SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Willie Brown, the former San Francisco mayor renowned for his sartorial style, is auctioning off dozens of items of clothing on eBay to benefit the San Francisco Bay Goodwill. Brown, who was SF mayor from 1996 until 2004, recently celebrated his 91st birthday.
To celebrate, he has apparently joined forces with the Goodwill to clear out his closet for a good cause.
“Former mayor Willie Brown is turning 91 today and for his birthday he has given our shoppers a treat!” the SF Bay Goodwill posted on social media.
Brown, the Goodwill said, had “generously donated a collection of items from his famously fashionable wardrobe.” The collection of items, which includes designer shoes, “exceptionally tailored jackets,” and other items is available exclusively on the Goodwill’s eBay site.

“By purchasing an item from the Willie Brown Collection, you’re not just getting a piece of San Francisco history,” the Goodwill said, “you’re also helping to fund our mission to provide job and career training for those who need it most.”
But if you’re interested in snapping up an item from the famously fashionable mayor’s collection, you’d better move quickly. As of Monday afternoon, there were only about 25 pieces left, including several T shirts, some Gucci sneakers, an Armani leather jacket, and a Burberry jacket.
