BOLWING GREEN, Ky. – The WKU football season is almost here, and the team has been hard at work in their fall practice as game one against No. 5 Alabama nears.
One member to the team that’s new on the Hill is Stacey Wilkins, an offensive line transfer from ULM.
The redshirt senior spent the past few years with the Warhawks, and Wilkins may be a newcomer to the WKU offensive line, but his ties to the coaching staff have helped his transition to the Tops go as smoothly as possible this fall.
“ Coming out of high school, coach Friend and coach Helton recruited me at Tennessee,” Wilkins said. “So, it was kind of a full circle moment coming back here and being here with them and stuff. I got coach Bernardi and coach Friend working with O Line and K. O. and stuff, so it’s really good. It’s a lot of different schemes and stuff from last year, so it’s been a minute, but it’s really just helping improve my game, mental wise.”
