The Captain’s Table 2024 Pitch Competition will air tomorrow on Splash live from Hong Kong .
This year will see the sixth cohort of startups pitching live from 4pm Hong Kong time on Thursday, to a global, in person audience in Hong Kong and online.
The Captain’s Table is one of the leading global pitch competitions designed for startups in the maritime and logistics industry. It provides participating startups with an unparalleled opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of esteemed judges, comprised of industry leaders, venture capitalists and seasoned entrepreneurs. With their extensive knowledge, they will assess participants based on business viability, market potential, scalability and impact.
This year’s seven finalists are Anlan Technology, a marine hull and cargo insurance tech firm; AnchorGuardian by Swiss Ocean Tech, which solves anchor dragging issues; Navguide Solutions, which visualises and gamifies instructions for seafarers in place of conventional checklists; Fleet Robotics, an autonomous robotic platform for ship hull digitisation and cleaning at sea; Flyz, an autonomous platform for deploying equipment on hard to reach spaces; SeaQ, a safety data collection tool created by PsyFyi; and blockchain ship finance specialist ShipFinex.
The winner will receive a cash prize of $30,000 and various in-kind services worth an estimated $30,000.
