KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are investigating a double shooting that left one woman dead and another woman hurt Monday night.
The shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. near Chavez and West Bluff, according to KCPD.
Police said they found a car on Chavez with two women shot inside. Both of them were taken to the hospital.
One of the women died at the hospital, and the other is listed in stable condition.
The victim killed has been identified as 26-year-old Michelle Donato.
Investigators said an argument involving several people outside an apartment on West Bluff escalated into a shooting when more people arrived at the scene of the argument.
