AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people were sentenced March 14 after pleading guilty to first-degree murder related to a November 2020 incident, according to Hays County court documents.
Records showed Enalisa Briana Blackman, 25, and Michael Tyreek Ifeanacho, 25, were sentenced to serve 10 years deferred adjudication.
In Texas, deferred adjudication is a type of probation that allows the person sentenced to keep the conviction off their criminal record.
The sentences were related to the death of Khambrail Winters, who was shot during a drug deal on Nov. 25, 2020.
According to court documents, both Blackman and Ifeanacho had a robbery charge dismissed following the murder conviction.
