Truck driver falls off trailer, suffers minor injuries near Nucor

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — A Decatur Fire & Rescue spokesperson says a truck driver suffered an accident Wednesday afternoon.

Decatur Fire & Rescue, along with Decatur EMS, responded to an incident involving a truck driver who fell from a flatbed trailer.

According to Decatur Fire & Rescue Spokesperson Brandon Sivley, the incident happened at around 3:21 p.m. at 2000 Independence Ave. NW near Nucor.

Sivley said the truck driver fell about five to seven feet while wearing safety gear. The truck driver only suffered minor lacerations and was taken to a local hospital.
