Traffic cleared after accidents on Interstate 526 westbound caused lane closures during morning rush hour Nov. 7.
Police officers reopened the left lane at mile marker 15 westbound near Dorchester Road and cleared the scene around 9:10 a.m., according to traffic cameras.
A collision had multiple police officers on site and required tow trucks to remove vehicles from the scene, according to traffic cameras maintained by the S.C. Department of Transportation.
The accident involved three vehicles and no one was injured, said Harve Jacobs, spokesperson for the North Charleston Police Department.
The left lane of I-526 westbound near Dorchester Road was closed for nearly two hours, with one tow truck departing around 8:35 a.m. and another around 9 a.m.
Another apparent collision near mile marker 13.5 westbound in West Ashley resulted in slowdowns but cleared around of 8 a.m., according to SCDOT cameras.
