ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La (WGNO) — The St. Tammany Parish Fire Protection District No. 11 responded to the scene of a crash Tuesday night, March 18.
At about 8 p.m., they were called to the scene involving a freight train and a tractor-trailer near Highway 11 and Pearl Parkway.
Responding officials arrived to find the trailer “heavily damaged,” said fire district officials. The truck was reportedly carrying frozen foods at the time of the crash that had been scattered along the railroad tracks.
The incident left Highway 11 blocked until the roadway was cleared.
No injuries were reported.
