(KRON) — Authorities are looking for three suspects in an attempted home burglary Monday evening in Tiburon, the Tiburon Police Department announced on social media. The attempted home break-in happened at a residence on Southridge Drive at around 5:08 p.m.
The three suspects, wearing hats and masks, were captured on surveillance footage (below). They were seen in the backyard of the home leaning against a sliding door.
The subjects did not gain entry into the home, according to police. “It appears they were spooked by something, possibly the security cameras,” Tiburon police wrote.
Another home break-in attempt occurred about 20 minutes later at Gilmartin Drive.
At 5:26 p.m., the resident reported multiple suspects were on his balcony and looked like they were trying to break in, police said. The subjects were scared away when the homeowner confronted them from inside his home behind a closed door.
The suspects were seen driving away in a newer model grey Hyundai Santa Fe (pictured below).
“Please be vigilant in locking doors and arming your alarm systems and security cameras,” Tiburon police wrote. “If you see any suspicious or illegal activity, please immediately call the police department at (415) 789-2800. If there are subjects on your property or attempting to break in, please immediately call 9-1-1.”
