It’s another chilly start for Chicagoland on Thursday morning, with some inland locations dipping down into the upper 20s.
A Freeze Warning or Frost Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Thursday for large parts of Chicagoland.
But conditions are clear and winds are calm to start the day, with plenty of sunshine on the way.
That’ll mean a pleasant and seasonal fall Thursday, with high temperatures in the mid-60s inland and the low 60s along the lake, right about in line with the normal high of 63 for Oct. 17.
Winds from the south/southwest could gust as high as 20 miles per hour later Thursday, but the abundant sunshine will be a preview of the next five days or so around the area.
It’s a splendid stretch of fall weather ahead, with temps warming for the weekend and reaching the mid-70s by Sunday.
