Whoopi Goldberg proudly flaunted her “new body” on this morning’s episode of The View.
The longtime moderator, who has been open about her use of the weight loss drug Mounjaro, welcomed Christian Siriano to The View, where she and her fellow co-hosts were decked out in his designer clothing line.
“You haven’t seen me in my new body, have you?” Goldberg said as she stood up and showed off her fitted blazer outfit, while Siriano excitedly replied, “You look incredible!”
Goldberg previously opened up about her weight loss during a May episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Host Kelly Clarkson gushed over the EGOT recipient, telling her that she looks “younger” every time they see each other.
“First of all, it’s all the weight I’ve lost,” Goldberg said at the time, crediting the “wonderful” Mounjaro shot, which had been working “really good” for her.
Goldberg revealed that she had weighed 300 pounds at her heaviest and had lost the weight of “almost two people” since taking the medication. She also remembered the time a reporter thought she was wearing a fat suit in the 2022 drama Till.
“I made a movie and a woman thought I was wearing a fat suit … I was indignant!” Goldberg told Clarkson. “I was like, this is not a fat suit, this is me! And then I saw me … I thought well, yeah, it does look like I’m wearing a fat suit.”
The conversation came up again in an August episode of The View when Goldberg told her co-hosts why she decided to be honest about taking the weight loss drug.
“Yes, I took Mounjaro. I’m not, you know — I did it, you know?” she explained. “I say it all the time. Because you can’t go from close to 300 pounds without somebody saying, ‘OK, what happened?’ ‘Cause you know I didn’t go to the gym!”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
