
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Tennessee man is facing drug and illegal gun possession charges in Scottsville.
The Scottsville Police Department says it conducted a traffic stop on a truck for a violation on Friday evening.
The vehicle’s driver is Jerry Wooten, 33, of Westmoreland, Tennessee.
Police said Wooten had marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, and a firearm. Wooten is a convicted felon.
Wooten was arrested and taken to the Allen County Detention Center. He is charged with disregarding a traffic controlled device (traffic light), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (enhancement), operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, and possession of marijuana.
