Single-engine plane overturns at suburban airport

A single-engine aircraft overturned at Joliet Regional Airport on Saturday afternoon, prompting an emergency response, officials said.

In a Facebook post at 3 p.m., the Joliet Police Department said it was assisting the Joliet Fire Department following a report of a single-engine aircraft overturn upon landing.

The pilot was able to safely exit the aircraft, officials said. No one else was on board at the time.
