One more dry & mild afternoon day today before it turns stormy for Thursday! Heavy rain, strong & gusty winds along with the risk for coastal high tide flooding expected on Thursday. A widespread soaking with 1/2″ of rain to around 1″ is expected and very helpful for fire danger relief! Snow amounts look minimal near the NY state line. Chilly and dry for the weekend. Today: Smoky with lower air quality in some areas. Mild with more sun for central and eastern Connecticut compared to more clouds in western Connecticut. Not windy for a change with highs 55 to around 60.
Tonight: Becoming cloudy with increasing winds from the east. Rain arrives after midnight. A higher high tide around 3am! Lows 38-45.
Tomorrow: Tough AM commute! Rainy, windy and raw! Gusts 20-45mph with high tide flooding. Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Rain could change to a little wet snow in the higher elevations of the Litchfield County late at night.
Friday: Mostly cloudy & windy with a little wet snow in western Connecticut to start, otherwise windy & cold with scattered rain/mix/snow showers, not much. Highs ranging from the upper 30s to upper 40s.
Saturday: Any early showers moving out. More clouds than sunshine, windy & chilly. Highs upper 40s to around 50.
Sunday: Sun and clouds, breezy with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Monday: Sun & clouds with highs in the low to mid 50s.
Tuesday: Light rain possible. Highs in the mid to upper 50s.
Wednesday: Sun and clouds with highs in the 40s to about 50. Okay for travel as of now.
