ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced the death of one of its sergeants on Sunday, March 23.
STPSO officials said the sergeant was hit by a suspect vehicle while deploying a spike strip on Interstate 10 near the Oak Harbor exit to help with a pursuit on Sunday morning.
The STPSO reports that “all perpetrators have been taken into custody.”
The sheriff’s office did not identify the sergeant, and additional information was not provided.
