Because the company is giving its Superstars time off for Thanksgiving next week, WWE taped next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw after tonight’s show came to a close. Continuing to set the stage for the Survivor Series, there was a huge return during the tapings that finalized one of the key teams on the premium live event.
The following is a spoiler. If you don’t want to know what happens during next week’s show, DO NOT read on. That said, we also understand that fans will spoil the results on social media, which means the news will break this week and well before next week’s show.
Major Star Unexpectedly Returns During Raw
Despite reports this week that WWE has hoped to have Rhea Ripley back before WrestleMania 41, it turns out that she was ready to go long before then. Her shocking return to close next Monday’s episode of Raw makes her the final member of Team Ripley. The five-woman group consists of Ripley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Iyo Sky. The other four women were part of a fight to close this week’s show.
The pop for her return was massive and she came out wearing a face guard. She headbutted Liv Morgan and then all 10 women started brawling, sending the team consisting of Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae, Raquel Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan running.
It sounded like Ripley said “War Games” before hitting Liv, which suggests that WWE might be planning a War Games match for these 10 competitors.

Ripley Back Far Sooner Than Expected
There was talk after the injury angle on NXT that Ripley’s injury was legitimate and fairly serious. Not just an angle for creative purposes, the severity of her injury wasn’t known. However, that she’s back in action and fighting already means this was either a well-planned storyline, or she will be good to go before the Survivor Series takes place on November 30.
This is great news for WWE who would have sorely missed Ripley if she wouldn’t have been available for an extended period.
Also on next week’s Raw was the Intercontinental Title match between Bron Breakker and Sheamus, plus a singles match between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed. That match also featured a surprise twist that has serious Survivor Series implications.
