SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Fire Department responded to a fire at a high-rise in the city’s Park Merced area on Monday night. The fire has since been extinguished.
The fire happened at a 13-story building at 55 Chumasero Drive. SFFD posted about the fire on X at 10:54 p.m.
The fire happened on the ninth floor of the building, which was evacuated. No injuries or rescues were reported.
SFFD established a “shelter-in-place refuge” on the 10th floor for firefighters.
