Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Secretary and the Foreign Minister discussed efforts to end the war in Sudan, expand humanitarian access, and support a political process to establish a civilian government. They also discussed ongoing efforts to end the war in Gaza, secure the release of all hostages, and establish security, governance, and reconstruction in the post-conflict period. On Lebanon, they discussed the latest developments towards an enduring diplomatic resolution that would fully implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and allow people in Lebanon and Israel to return to their homes.
