(KRON) — Three suspects were arrested Wednesday in connection to stealing more than $4,500 worth of merchandise from Lululemon, the San Mateo Police Department announced. Around 2:02 p.m., officers were called to the store at Hillsdale Shopping Center about a theft in progress.
Five suspects were reported to have worked together to steal a large amount of merchandise, according to SMPD. Officers stopped the suspects as they left the store and detained them without incident.
It was discovered that more than $4,500 worth of items from Lululemon were stolen, police said. All five suspects were arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail.
Hours later, around 8:05 p.m., the same Lululemon was hit with another theft. Police said three suspects entered the store carrying Lululemon bags, filled them up with merchandise and walked out without paying. Officers detained the suspects shortly after they exited the store.
More than $4,000 worth of Lululemon products were stolen, according to SMPD. Three suspects were arrested. Police also recovered stolen merchandise from other Bay Area Lulelemon locations.
Among the eight suspects arrested were two Stockton residents and one Sacramento resident.
