ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Rogers man was arrested in Missouri on March 24 and is accused of shooting his mother with a crossbow.

According to a press release, Joseph Michael Alexander, 29 is facing charges of attempted capital murder, aggravated residential burglary, interference with first-degree emergency communications and third-degree domestic battery.
Bentonville police say officers responded to a disturbance around 8:08 a.m. at the 2400 block of NW Linebarger Lane.
Officers believe Alexander broke into his parents’ home and fired a crossbow twice striking his mother in the head both times.
Police say Alexander fled the scene before police arrived. The mother was taken to a local emergency room with life-threatening injuries.
Alexander’s car was found in Barry County, Missouri by the Stone County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office.
Alexander was taken into custody following a pursuit. He is being held in the Barry County Jail and will be extradited to Benton County.
