DENVER (KDVR) — Starting Monday, parts of Quebec Street in the Montclair neighborhood will be closed over the next few months as crews work on safety improvements.
Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure said the project includes filling gaps in the sidewalks along Quebec Street and upgrading the traffic signal.
During this time, there will be full closures in the two-to-three block segments during the week. They will reopen on the weekends.
Road closures on Quebec Street
The road will be closed in sections within these periods:
- 13th Avenue to Colfax Avenue – Dec. 2 to Dec. 20
- Colfax Avenue to 17th Avenue – Jan. 2 to Feb. 17
- 17th Avenue to Montview Avenue – Feb. 18 to April 3
The roads will be closed starting Monday on Quebec Street between 13th Avenue and Colfax Avenue. During this time, north and southbound traffic will be rerouted to Monaco Street Parkway and Syracuse Street. Here’s what the detour looks like:
The department said that weather permitting, the construction will be done in early spring.
