CHICAGO (WGN) — The Chicago Bears are adding a veteran QB to help mentor Caleb Williams as the Ben Johnson regime begins in the Windy City.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Case Keenum is signing a one-year, $3 million deal to join the Bears.
Keenum last played in 2023, when he served as the backup to CJ Stroud on the Houston Texans.
The former University of Houston QB spent 2024 on injured reserve with the Texans.
A career backup in the NFL, Keenum finished second in Comeback Player of the Year voting in 2017 after throwing for 3,547 yards, 22 TD passes and 7 interceptions with the Minnesota Vikings.
The Bears open up their offseason workout program on Monday, April 7.
