Powerful “atmospheric river” pattern to continue to produce high impactful rainfall and winter weather conditions for the Pacific Northwest   

Intense “bomb cyclone” off the Northwest US coast with pressures falling into the low 940’s (millibars) continues to churn about 300 miles west of the Olympic Peninsula Tuesday evening.  Heavy rain, gusty winds, and mountain snow will continue across the Northwest. Life-threatening flooding is likely across Northern California as a prolonged period of heavy rain will continue into Friday.
