Offbeat Books, a new locally-owned, independent bookstore, will open the doors to its inaugural location this summer at the Terminal South mixed-use development in Atlanta.
Founded by Lindsi Bollinger, Offbeat Books is a bookstore that has “love for the unconventional,” featuring a curated collection of reads across all genres, with a particular focus on sci-fi, fantasy, horror and strange-but-true history.
For Bollinger, the opening of Offbeat Books represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to offer literary works that devolve from the norm of conventional bookstores.

“I’ve always been drawn to books that offer something unexpected — stories that surprise, challenge, and inspire,” Bollinger said. “That got me thinking — why wasn’t there a bookstore that celebrated the offbeat, the overlooked and the wildly original? Offbeat Books is my answer to that question.”
Offbeat Books’ 1,200-square-foot space will feature deep navy walls, bourbon-colored bookshelves, and a whimsical starlit black ceiling, creating an “ethereal atmosphere” for patrons.
“Lindsi’s vision for a thoughtfully curated, personality-filled bookstore aligns perfectly with our goal of creating a vibrant collection of local makers and purveyors that deliver an authentic experience for both neighbors and visitors to Atlanta.” said Melissa Ahrendt, executive director of real estate at Stafford Properties.
Alongside of books, the store offers a variety of “bookish” accessories and gifts, such as stickers, bookmarks, journals, mugs, plushies and puzzles, to name a few.
Additionally, Offbeat Books will also play host to book clubs, author signings, as well as a Dungeons & Dragons group led by a local Dungeon Master — providing a new space for role players in the Atlanta area.
“It’s more than just a bookstore — Offbeat Books is designed to be a place where book lovers can gather, explore, and discover the stories they never knew they needed.” said Bollinger. “I want people to walk in and feel like they’ve discovered a hidden world.”
