CHICAGO (WGN) — Soon, mailers can thank a friend with a Golden Girls stamp.
The United States Postal Service will honor late actress, comedienne, and Oak Park native Betty White with a new commemorative Forever stamp.
USPS will offer the Betty White Forever stamps in panes of 20 beginning Thursday, March 27.

The commemorative stamp features White’s winning smile while wearing a purple polka-dotted top. It also has a violet background and “Betty White” printed in white on the bottom. The image reflects a photo taken in 2010 of the ‘Golden Girls’ and ‘Hot in Cleveland’ actress.

White died on Dec. 31, 2001 at age 99, just weeks shy of her 100th birthday.
