NPD welcomes new K9 Thor

Nashville Police Department K9 Officer Greg Parker just returned from training and certification with his new companion,Thor, who is certified in tracking, building searches, area searches, apprehension and officer protection, as well as narcotic detection. Thor is a 20-month-old Belgian Malinois. Thor replaces Nashville K9 Apollo, who served the city for more than eight years. Apollo retired this month and is enjoying his retirement at home, according to Chief Amy Marion.
