A small fire near a side entrance of a North Park restaurant Sunday morning is being investigated as a possible arson.
An employee reportedly called San Diego Fire-Rescue at around 5:59 a.m. about a fire near the North Park Beer Co. and Mastiff Kitchen building at University Ave. and Ohio St.
The fire involved several plastic containers. Firefighters arrived and quickly put it out without incident.
However, the employee told law enforcement that he saw two men standing next to the fire, and that they quickly left the scene when they saw they were being watched.
No injuries were reported. The investigation is continuing.
