WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – It was a monumental night in Webster Groves as the community packed the high school’s brand new, highly-anticipated stadium for its inaugural football game.
The weather cooperated and the team didn’t disappoint either. Webster Groves went on to beat Hazelwood West, 15-13, in a come-from-behind victory Friday night.
It was a night more than a decade in the making. Following a long process that included a tax initiative and then construction of the new multi-sport facility, fans showed up in droves to support the Statesmen varsity team and to celebrate the rich history behind Moss Field.
