NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating reports of threats toward two schools on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
NOPD officials said they received a report St. Stephen School on Napoleon Avenue; however, responding officers found the threat to be false.
Classes were reportedly canceled, and students were dismissed.
The NOPD reported that officers responded to another threat at Abramson Sci Academy on Read Boulevard. According to police, the school dismissed students early as a precaution.
No injuries were reported.
On Tuesday, the NOPD announced the arrest of a 13-year-old student in a separate incident involving a reported threat made toward a student at Audubon Gentilly school, making this the sixth arrest in threat investigations involving New Orleans schools.
