FRANKLIN, Ky. – Horse racing season is set to get underway in South Central Kentucky, and staff at Kentucky Downs are making some new changes you should know about before heading to the track.
A new seating area called the Stretch Run is named after the area it’s located in, the final stretch of the track before the finish line… offering covered seating.
There’s also a Trophy Suite, which can hold up to 50 people, and features a two story level with great views of the track on the second floor.
However, on top of the traditional horse betting, you can now bet on sports games while you’re there.
“With football season coming around the corner, we encourage people if you want to make a sports bet, come visit us inside to do sports betting over the counter or at a kiosk,” John Wholihan, The Mint at Kentucky Downs’s marketing director says.
The new Circa Sports Book kiosk is now open inside The Mint Kentucky Downs, with a full expansion coming soon.
Racing kicks off August 29th and runs through September 11th.
