SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A motorcyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday in the Mission Valley neighborhood.
The incident occurred around 2:25 p.m. at 5000 Texas St., the San Diego Police Department watch commander said in a news release.
A 55-year-old man riding a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Texas Street when an unknown person driving a dark gray SUV in the opposite direction made a U-turn in front of the motorcyclist who was hit by the vehicle, according to authorities.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with a broken nose and deep laceration to the forehead. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening, police confirmed.
Authorities are investigating to see if driving under the influence was a factor in the crash.
