WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) A traffic stop Wednesday in Kosciusko County led to the discovery of more than six pounds of cocaine inside a BMW SUV according to a press release from Indiana State Police.
A trooper pulled over the SUV traveling east on US 30 shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Warsaw’s west side for a traffic violation. A K-9 unit with the Warsaw Police Department arrived to assist the trooper and the K-9 alerted the officers to the odor of narcotics.
A search of the SUV turned up three kilos of suspected cocaine, which equals 6.6 pounds. Cash in the amount of $3000 was also found inside.
The driver of the BMW, Jarvis Buchanan, 44 of Fort Wayne was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, a level 3 felony, and taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.
