NORRISTOWN, PA—The Montgomery County Commissioners today announced the launch of a Business Breakthrough initiative designed to grow the local workforce by helping businesses innovate while attracting and retaining talented employees.
Run by the Montgomery County Commerce Department, this initiative will commence with a series of roundtable discussions this spring, gathering business leaders from diverse industry sectors to discuss trends and challenges in the local economy. Participants will have the opportunity to share insights, strategies, and best practices, creating a platform for mutual learning and growth.
The first discussion will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, at the Community Partners Center in Colmar, PA. It will feature Craig Edsill, CEO of Clemens Food Group in Hatfield Township, who will share proven, innovative approaches to workforce attraction and retention.
“We’re excited to launch Business Breakthrough Initiative, a platform for business leaders to share ideas and tools for managing the uncertainties in the market today,” said Neil K. Makhija, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. “The underlying goal is to ensure Montgomery County remains a place where we have world-class businesses that are creating jobs here while participating in the global economy and innovating across a variety of sectors.”
“One of the County’s greatest strengths is our ability to convene industry leaders to foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing,” said Jamila H. Winder, Vice Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. “The Commerce Department’s Business Breakthrough initiative leans on the County’s convening power to gather entrepreneurs and business leaders who share our goal of economic prosperity in Montgomery County.”
“Montgomery County is home to many prosperous businesses whose owners and leaders bring tremendous expertise to the table,” said Thomas DiBello, Montgomery County Commissioner. “We want to make sure we’re doing everything we can to create a collaborative business community where these leaders can share their wisdom while maintaining a competitive spirit.”
“We are excited to launch these Business Breakthrough events as part of our commitment to fostering a thriving business environment in Montgomery County,” said Stephen Forster, Director of the Montgomery County Commerce Department. “By facilitating dialogue and collaboration among industry leaders, we aim to address current challenges and explore opportunities for sustainable growth.”
The Business Breakthrough sessions are open to local business owners, executives, and stakeholders interested in contributing to and benefiting from these strategic discussions. Attendance is free but space is limited.
