It’s quite dry out there, and that doesn’t appear likely to change this week, as summer heat makes perhaps one final appearance in Chicagoland this year.
The forecast looks dry and sunny all week, starting Monday. Early-morning temperatures to begin the work week were still in the 40s in some locations but in the upper 50s along the lake.
It’ll warm into the lower 80s during the afternoon, with a southwest breeze shifting to a westerly direction and gusting up to 25 miles per hour.
Temps will warm as the week progresses, reaching the mid-80s on Tuesday and close to 90 inland on Wednesday and Thursday. A likely lake breeze, however, will keep temps closer to the mid-80s along the lake on Wednesday and Thursday.
It’ll cool off a little for the weekend, though it looks to remain sunny and in the 80s, with a possible chance for some much-needed showers.
