ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The stage is now set for the 2025 boys class 2A championship. Mesa Vista earned its way into the title game by way of a 58-51 victory over Santa Rosa on Friday.
The Trojan defense stood strong all game as the Lions struggled to find an offense. Santa Rosa shot 3-22 (13.6%) from three-point range for the game. Mesa Vista also recorded 34 rebounds.
Offensively, every Trojan that played significant minutes contributed. Three scored in double figures. Jordan Gallegos had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

This marks the fourth-ever championship appearance for Mesa Vista and the first since 2003. The Trojans will play Texico for the title on Saturday at 8 a.m.
