HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — A man was arrested in Hammond on Monday, March 31, following a child pornography investigation by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to the TPSO, 19-year-old Ugochukwu Chukwudi, who is reportedly from Nigeria, was identified as a suspect in the case by detectives after the ICAC unit took note of child porn being uploaded to an online cloud service.
An analysis of devices in Chukwudi’s possession allegedly revealed 64 video files with child sexual abuse material on them, the majority of which TPSO investigators say showed victims under the age of 13.
As a result, Chukwudi has been booked on 41 counts of pornography involving juveniles under 13 and 23 counts of pornography involving juveniles.
