HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department arrested a man in an arson investigation at an apartment complex Sunday.
HPD said 37-year-old Jonathan Lamont Hughes was arrested Monday evening and charged with first-degree arson.

His arrest comes during a suspected arson investigation led by the Huntsville Police. Investigators said evidence led them to believe the fire at the Biltmore Place Apartments was intentionally set on Sunday.
He is currently being held at the Madison County Jail without bond.
Huntsville Fire & Rescue crews are currently responding to a fire at the same complex Tuesday morning.
