Loudoun County, VA (December 6, 2024): The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has made two arrests following an investigation into a road rage shooting incident on December 3, 2024, in Sterling.
The LCSO has identified and apprehended Aldo Betancourth Rivera, 34, and Jimmy Paredes Madrid, 29, both of Sterling and undocumented.
On December 3, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., LCSO deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the area of East Maple Avenue and South Lincoln Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects discharged a firearm at an occupied vehicle during an apparent road rage incident. LCSO detectives located the suspect vehicle on December 4, leading to the arrests. Paredes Madrid is charged with Shooting from a Vehicle and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, both Class 4 felonies, as well as Brandishing a Firearm, a misdemeanor. Both suspects are being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
“This is the latest example of a violent act committed by someone here illegally,” said Sheriff Mike Chapman. “I am determined to do everything possible to protect the citizens of Loudoun County and will continue to press for greater immigration enforcement to keep illegal drugs, gangs, and violent criminals out of our nation,” he added.
