Thus, Lithuania becomes another export country for the Poland-based company. Just like Hungary, where the company supplies 2.5 thousand m2 of coating glass, which will be installed on the revitalized building of the local Ministry of Finance, located in the historic part of Budapest.
“The fact that our photovoltaic glass will be installed on such a representative facility as the Artery business centre is a great ennoblement for us. We are glad that the solutions offered by ML System are chosen by recognized architects, and Daniel Libeskind undoubtedly belongs to this group. The building located in Vilnius will be completed this year”, comments Dawid Cycoń, President of ML System.
“We are distinguished by the widest technical capabilities in the BIPV industry. The products offered by ML System are certified and willingly used in cubature construction, they respond directly to the increasingly stringent technical requirements that must be met by buildings and products used on them. The unique features and parameters of our solutions are the result of consistently implemented R+D activities and effective implementations that gave the company a real advantage in the market”, emphasizes Dawid Cycoń.
„Twenty-first-century symbol“
Daniel Libeskind, describing the project of the Vilnius Artery, emphasized that “the tower, according to the idea, is to become the twenty-first-century symbol of this city”.
The Hungarian project is part of the EU’s “Renovation Wave” strategy aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of buildings. In March this year, ML System will participate in the “Construma Budapest | International fair for building”, which will take place in the capital of Hungary. Presence at the event is aimed at deepening relations with contractors from a new, promising market.

In addition to intensifying sales activities in CEE countries, the company is also working on strengthening its position in Western Europe. Therefore, in April this year, ML System will present its technologies and products at the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to the architectural and construction industry – “BAU | World’s Leading Trade Fair for Architecture, Materials, Systems” to be held in Munich. The company’s stand will be equipped with modern – some premiere presented – solutions and concepts for sustainable, ecological construction.
Significant impulse for BIPV through European Renovation Wave
It is also worth noting that on the export market ML System currently supplies photovoltaic glass with increased sound insulation requirements for a newly constructed building in the centre of Munich. The company also delivered more than 1,000 m2 of ventilated photovoltaic façade to a modernized school in Norway and BIPV modules to Shell’s headquarters in the Netherlands, which is also undergoing renovation.
“The European Renovation Wave, which is just rising, will be a significant development impulse for the entire BIPV industry, including of course ML System. We are intensifying our marketing and sales activities to take advantage of the good economic situation. Architectural solutions offered by ML System are perfect for both modernization projects and new buildings”, sums up Dawid Cycoń. (hcn)
