LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Sporting Club has suffered its first loss of the season against San Antonio FC over the weekend.
In a hard fought battle, both teams went into the matchup undefeated.
LSC started off strong and in the first 20 minutes were already ahead 2-0, with goals from Nick Firmino and Cory Burke.
San Antonio responded soon after getting two as well.
At halftime the score would remain 2-2.
In the second half, San Antonio would find the back of the net again, giving their team the lead.
Final score, 3-2.
Lexington SC will have a quick turnaround as they now shift their focus to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, they will face Columbus Crew 2 in the second round on April 1 at 6 p.m.
LSC will be back at home on April 12, when they take on the Las Vegas Lights.
