[1] Trump wins the White House in political comeback – Donald Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States. Major news outlets are projecting a 277 electoral count for the former President. In New Mexico, Kamala Harris won the five electoral votes.
[2] Snow expected with storm approaching New Mexico – Winter Storm Warnings are widespread across New Mexico, including The Albuquerque Metro, as snow, gusty winds, and cold air will be the main threats later today. The strongest storm system of the season, which will bring in the most snow and coldest air for many.
[3] Gabe Vasquez wins the 2nd Congressional District – Gabe Vasquez will retain his District 2 seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. He received 52% of the vote, beating challenger and former representative Yvette Herrell. This is the second time that Herrell has lost the race to Vasquez.

[5] Why were poll results delayed in Bernalillo County? – Some New Mexico voters faced major delays at the polls Tuesday. According to state election officials, the same day voter registration system got overloaded Tuesday morning and went down state-wide for a period of time. This is the first time the state has had same-day registration for a presidential election. According to the secretary of state, New Mexico saw an overall voter turnout of 66.1% for this election.
