ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Community members, including NEWS10’s Anthony Krolikowski, spoke with a group of students at KIPP Academy Elementary School on Friday. They were invited to talk about their careers and the impact they have on the community.
School officials said the event helps students learn what they want to do in the future.
“We want to inspire them to be the best that they can be and whoever they want to be,” Dir. of Student Support Services Brittany Wheeler said. “We have aspiring astronauts, and firefighters, police officers, and even some teachers in the room.”
Along with Anthony, local barbers, a hair stylist, and police officers visited the school to show how their jobs affect the local community.
