LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Two local farm bureaus are being recognized as two of the six recipients of a 2024 Kentucky Farm Bureau Educational Mini-Grant.
According to a release by the Kentucky Farm Bureau, the Allen County Farm Bureau is being honored for its project to build book barns at the Allen County Primary Center and Intermediate Center.
This mini-grant is a special project of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Women’s Program and administered through the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation, the release says.
The release further states one-time grants up to $500 are offered to county farm bureaus to help support projects resulting in increased agricultural literacy. Priority is given to programs with a need for financial support.
In addition to Allen County Farm Bureau’s award, mini-grants were also given to the Farm Bureaus in Hardin, Logan, Russell, Trimble and Wolfe counties.
