CHICAGO — An investigation is underway on Wednesday night after human remains were found in the North Branch of the Chicago River.
Chicago police said the remains of an unknown male were pulled from the water near the 900 block of North Elston Avenue, in West Town, just after 5 p.m.
It is currently unclear how the victim died and authorities have not yet identified him.
According to CPD, a death investigation is now underway.
