KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An infant child is dead after a multi-vehicle crash on I-29 in Platte County Wednesday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. on southbound I-29 near Camden Point.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report says a tractor-trailer hit the back of a Toyota — pushing it into another tractor-trailer, before sliding into a tree line.
A boy under the age of one was taken to the hospital; he died a few hours later. The driver of the Toyota suffered serious injuries, while 3 others suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
