Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium will host Paul McCartney in what organizers tout as one of the biggest shows in Minnesota history, WCCO TV reports. McCartney will play the venue on Oct. 17 as part of his “Got Back” tour. It will be his first appearance in Minnesota in nearly a decade.
Eight kayakers were rescued from the Sauk River on Saturday, after launching from a point near County Road 139 in Rockville and getting stranded for up to 45 minutes, KARE 11 writes. A combination of high water levels, low-hanging trees and underwater branches caused five of the eight kayaks to tip over.
KTTC says protesters gathered outside 1st District Congressman Brad Finstad’s Rochester office Wednesday afternoon, calling on the congressman to provide answers as to why he voted “yes” on President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Some attendees said the protest serves as the demand of constituents to meet face to face.
A former Minnesota resident appeared in a St. Paul federal courtroom this week and admitted filling out hundreds of fraudulent voter registration applications, MPR News reports.
The state’s top elections official said that this was the largest case of its kind that he’s seen, but routine checks prevented all of the fictitious people from making it onto Minnesota’s voter rolls.
